    Description

This is an original postcard used to promote Grateful Dead and Yardbirds shows at the Fillmore Auditorium in 1966. This card has been authenticated by Certified Guaranty Company and has been rated a 9.8, which they describe as " A nearly perfect collectible with negligible handling or manufacturing defects."
A card for these shows, in this condition, is extremely rare. This is a wonderful piece of rock and roll history.
This card is number 32 in the Bill Graham series. The artist is Wes Wilson and the photographer is Herb Greene.
The photo on the card is of course a young Jerry Garcia, without a beard. The Grateful Dead shows are for October 21 and 22nd, 1966. The opening acts were Loading Zone and Lightning Hopkins.
The Yardbirds show for October 23, 1968 is also promoted. The Yardbirds included the legendary  Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page and Jeff Beck. The opening act was Country Joe and the Fish.
A poster version of the card is visible on a post in a scene in Berkeley in the movie The Graduate. This is a really great piece.
Grateful Dead Unused Tickets for the last Two Shows. It was 26 years ago today, the final Jerry show. Double encore “Box of Rain” and “Black Muddy River”.
These two unused tickets are for the July 8 and July 9 shows at Soldier Field, Chicago, Illinois.
Unfortunately they turned out to be the last shows the Grateful Dead would perform.
Tickets have minor roughen area on back side. Front side has no issues.
    Thanks for stopping by.
