" - Gilbert Shelton '78 Art Design !! : '79 Tour ! : May 5, 1979 ( 5/5/79 : 5/5/1979 ) Baltimore Civic Center - Baltimore Maryland ( MD ) : 1979 Grateful Dead Productions, Inc. ( GDP ) - Vintage Original ( Genuine / Authentic ) : Very-Rare !!!!Grateful Dead Fans !!! ... & most-likely too - East Coast ! Deadheads ... and those from the Good Ol' " MD " !! Offered here is the Vintage Original ( Genuine / Authentic ) Grateful Dead Backstage Pass ( sticker-patch / satin ) for the '79 East Coast May Tour Show at the Baltimore Civic Center ! in Baltimore, Maryland ( MD ) !! For Dead Fans close to 40-Years Ag
o ! ... this '79 Fall Tour was a Must-See ! Smokin' Show ! after Smokin' Show !! by this brand new ( at the time ) " Brent-Era ! " Grateful Dead unit ... with this East Coast Tour stretch - indeed being the 1st of Brent Mydland with the Grateful Dead !! And, this was still really the " Shakedown Street ! " G.D. Touring Era !! - with even this Backstage Pass itself featuring the Legendary ! Album Cover Artwork by Gilbert Shelton ( '78 ). In fact, it was also just about a full-year from this point - when " Go To Heaven " would be released. A time of creative Live Show & Sound change for the Dead ! - as this was indeed the 1st tour Back East without both Keith & Donna Godchaux. So, yes ... big shoes to fill for Brent - which, he fit right in & ran with !! In fact ... this was only Brent's 4th Show ! with the Grateful Dead - and this Baltimore Tour stop was the 3rd Show on this May '79 tour-stretch - with only Charlotte, NC & Hampton, VA being played prior. After this, the Band played Easton, PA ( Lafayette College ) - State College, PA ( Penn State ) - Binghamton, NY ( Broome County Arena ), Billerica, MA ( Billerica Forum ) - Amherst, MA ( U Mass ) - and Portland, ME ( Cumberland County Civic ) ... so, this was a nice & tight Nine ( 9 ) date Tour - with the Baltimore Civic Center being played 4th ! And, I suppose at this point in Time & Space ! ... there were a lot of Baltimore Bullets ! & Baltimore Clippers ! ( Ha ! ) Games going on - in this Era, with of course as well ... lots of Rock & Roll !! As, I'm very proud to say that I was actually living in the Rodgers Forge area of Baltimore - when this 5/5/79 Dead Show went down. And, just as any Fan might expect in this Amazing ! '79 G.D. Era ... they flat-out delivered the Goods ! Jack Straw > Sugaree led the charge ! With a hot El Paso & All Over Now weaving their way in between Friend Of The Devil & Tennessee Jed to in the 1st Set. But, when this set came to a close ... Whoa !?! - as it was On !!! A Cooker ! of a Dancin' In The Streets ! just Rocked !! - and without any question ... stole the Show ! - as far as the 1st Set goes. And, really ... this was just a tell tale & sign ! of where things were just about to go ... as the Band came out for Set II - and things got Hot ... Heavy ... & basically - Fierce !!! So, I suppose it's safe to say in that '79 - a 7-Song first set could & would often lead to this ... and, that being - Grateful Dead Live-Magic !!! I mean, it's kind of like this - if you could actually ' pick ' a 7-Song 1979 Grateful Dead Set II ? ... Would you pick any differently then this one ?? >>> Scarlet > Fire - Samson > He's Gone > Drums > Space > Other One > Wharf Rat > Sugar Magnolia !!!? Whoa !?!?!! Super-Duper ! hot stuff ... & naturally too, right ? 1979 Live Dead !!! And, for the Encore too - as it was indeed a ' Saturday ' -- " One More Saturday Night !!! ". What a Dead Show ! in the Good Ol' MD !! - Wow !!! ... Enjoy !!!!!

As proudly offered here is the Vintage Original ( Genuine / Authentic ) Grateful Dead Backstage Pass ( sticker-patch / satin ) for the July 12th, 1990 ( 7/12/90 ) Show ! at RFK Stadium !! in Washington D.C. !!! People ... maybe you are already aware of this night ?! - but this was flat-out " Legendary !! " 1990's Live Grateful Dead !!! In my own humble Dead Fan opinion - I truly consider this Fantastic ! Dead Show to be a candidate for " Best ! " G.D. Show of the 1990's !! This night was a one of G.D. " Magic !!! " - both Musically, and also how the Rain-Poured-Down ! from the Heavens-above before the " Box of Rain > Victim > Foolish Heart > Dark Star !!!! " Opener to Set II. And trust me ... this was Rain that " felt just-fine " considering that it's a " D.C. Summertime " Show that we are speaking of ! The Boys promised to " Let the Good Times Roll ! " right out of the gate - and my goodness did they ever ! Nine ( 9 ) Songs in this 1st Set - and after each tune - me and my Crew of Folks kept looking at each other with sheer " Amazement ! " - wondering if we'd heard one of the best versions in a while of pretty much ahhh ... every-song ? Seriously. Then ... Set II - and it just simply etched itself in the G.D. History Books !! Box of Rain > Victim or the Crime > Foolish Heart > Dark Star !!! > Drums / Space > Watchtower > Dear Mr. Fantasy ! > Hey Jude Finale !! > Touch of Grey Encore : The Weight. Check the tapes ( I mean, CD's ) and you'll immediately-feel the Power & Passion ! by the Band present on this beyond-fine night of G.D. Magic !! Dang, the Grateful Dead liked to deliver the goods in the D.C. Metro Area !! And check it out too ... you can even see a part of this show Pro-Shot ! ( the pre-Drums Set II segment ) on View From The Vault II !! It offers the whole 6/14/91 RFK Show - and a nice portion of 7/12/90 Set II ! Totally worth a watch. Well, I can't kid you here - as This-Pass ! just about gives me shivers ( Grate ! ones ) when I look at it - and for what it stands for & represents - so unbelievably much, where do you even start ?! Point being - I'm sure there has to still be some Magic ! in this one. Legendary 1990's G.D. !!! on 7/12/90 inside the Nation's Capital !! Enjoy !!!!! " A Box of Rain will ease the pain - and Love will see you through ... ". Wow . . .
