Grateful Dead Fans ! ... and quite possibly those from the Good Ol' Pacific Northwest !! - or, should I say ... the " Grate ! " Northwest !!!  Always ! lots & lots of Dead Fan Faithful ! out here in this neck of the Woods !! ... and I say neck of the ' Woods ' literally !!!  Well, then again - not so much right-around the Space Needle ! - which is pretty close to where this '81 Summer Tour Grateful Dead Magic ! went down ... Yes !!!  Offered here indeed is a Vintage Original ( Genuine / Authentic ) Grateful Dead Backstage Pass ( sticker-patch / satin ) for the August 14, 1981 ( 8/14/1981 ) Seattle Center Show - in Seattle, Washington ( WA ) on the 1981 Grateful Dead Summer Tour !!!  And ... quite the interesting G.D. and Rock & Roll Relic ! here for certain ... as this is one of the Very-Cool ! & Rare !! " Large " style Grateful Dead ' Dead Set ' design Passes that were used with only a very-short consistency during this 1981 Tour !  And ... as far as ' Seattle ' goes for the Dead ... they played Seattle proper & the surrounding cool areas with great relative frequency during the Mid/Late 1960's - throughout the 1970's - and even a bit in the Early '80's too - but then ... Oh No ! - a pretty-significant G.D. drought ! in the furthest north state in the Pacific Northwest !  I do think the Band frequenting Eugene probably had a lot to do with this sort of strange no-show in the 1980's ? ... but, regardless - here are the facts ... the Dead played the Seattle Center every-year from 1979 through 1983 ... but then, the Grateful Dead did not play Seattle again - until 1994 & 1995 ?!?  Wow !?!  And, Thankfully for me ... I did indeed see All-Five ( 5 ) of these Shows.  But, from 1983 all the way until 1994 - there was only one ( 1 ! ) G.D. Show in the State of Washington ... and that one was in the Tacoma Dome ( Built in '83 ! ) - on the 1988 Summer Tour !?!  So, if you've ever wondered why there is such a shortage of cool G.D. Memorabilia from the 1980's & 1990's ... well, there indeed is your answer !  And, just to think ... no Seattle-Dead Dead Tapes ! at all from 1983 Summer Tour until 1994 Summer Tour !!?!!  Ahhhh ....  So yes indeed, just a little G.D. History ! for you.  And ' Musically ' at this 8/14/81 stop - the clear ! highlight of the night was indeed ... Baby Blue !!!  Yep, that's right too ... on a Dead-night with a Baby Blue ' Fade ' Backstage Pass !  Cool ...  Yeah, so this was really the " Return " of Baby Blue - and it was the 1st time that Garcia decided to play it for the Fan Faithful ... since 1974 !?!?!  And, you guessed it too ... right in the Encore ! spot - right after a way ' High-Energy ' Miracle > GDTRFB > Johnny B. Goode Red-Hot & Smokin' !!! back set.  A kind reminder of the '81 days where Garcia would practically grit his teeth ! - in an attempt to get so much high-volume guitar tone - and resonating attack !!!  I don't know about you - but, to me personally ?  This is without any question one of the most underrated periods of Grateful Dead - not only of the '80's, but really ... of All-Time !  '81 just seems to get little-love ... and though I do understand the situation with ' releasable ' recordings - Jerry Vocal issues ( at times ) - and all of that ... I hope we are getting to the point where we are going to see some '81 pro-released G.D. Live-Action !!!  I mean every Show can't be 5/4/81 Spectrum - that I do know.  But ... Shows like this one here on 8/14/81 - just Need ! to be head by the Fans ... a Live-Clinic ! of how Rock & Roll should be played - and played properly - when you are willing to take the necessary risks & chances ... to just lay it all ! right on the line.  I mean after all - this is a Show where China > Rider !!! got delivered in the 5/6 spots right into Drums > Space !  And ... they were even born from an all-out & no holds barred Playin' In The Band !!!  Wow ... 1981 ! I say, and even in the Grate ! Pacific Northwest ... in Seattle !! -- with even the Space Needle ! boogying-down to some Good Ol' 1980's !!! Grateful Dead !! ... Enjoy !!!!!

Grateful Dead Fans !?!!  Now ... here is one that I don't even think I have to do much ' Explaining ' for - as the Photos ! on this G.D. Dancin' Bear Backstage Pass ? ... they do All ! of the Talking !!  A quite possible 10 out of 10 ! on the G.D. " Hilarious ! " scale here - depending of course on whether or not Dancing Bears ! and/or Naked Ladies in the Shower ! are your Cup of  Tea !?!  As the 1st time I saw this one ... at ' Mighty ' Autzen Stadium ( U.f.O. ) in Eugene ! - I thought for a quick-second that it was some kind of a Grateful Dead rendition of the Shower-Scene from Psycho ! -- but, after a closer-look into the shadow - and through the shower curtain ... I think I have changed my opinion !  I mean this Purple & Pink Dancin' Bear has some Shampoo or Soap on his Nose ?! ... and obviously has " Nothing Left To Do But ... Smile, Smile, Smile ! " - which ... He's Doing !  A ' Beyond-Classic ! ' G.D. Rock & Roll Backstage Pass !  And, this is the Vintage Original ( Genuine / Authentic ) Grateful Dead Backstage Pass ( sticker-patch / satin ) for the September 14, 1993 ( 9/14/93 ) Show at The Spectrum ! in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania !!  And as for the ' Whoa !?! ' factor for the design on this 9/14/93 Pass ?  Well ... I've just up-loaded 12 photos for you to browse through yourself !  I mean this one is for Philly !! ... and here you have this cute, adorable - and ahhh ... Mischievous ! Dancing Bear involved in some time of Shower Jackpot ?!? ... as there's already ' someone-else ' in there enjoying their ( Her ! ) Shower !  Ha !  A Complete-Classic ... as I'll just let " The Pass do The Talkin' " on this Way-Beyond Funny one !!?!  Maybe a little-bit of a Hitchcock Psycho ! scene theme too ... but ... this is G.D. ! style here - so no Knife, naturally ... & just a Furry-Grin ! ( with Soap ! ) from the Dancin' Bear instead !!  I'm not sure I could even imagine Collecting the Best ! in Cool Grateful Dead Stuff ... and ' not ' having This-One !  And ... the only other " Dancin' Bear Showertime ! " Pass was issued for the Mighty Autzen Stadium Show run in Eugene in '94 ... with this Philly one here - for 9/14/93 ... indeed being the inaugural-version - Yeah ! ... the " 1st " !!  And, keep in mind too ( though - obviously-hoping that You ! were there ... ) - this Last / Final night Spectrum Show of this 3-Show Philly stand delivered the Huge ! Help > Slip ! > Franklin's !!!  And a Killer ! delivery, for certain ... during a little & very-apparent " 1993 " Grateful Dead Hot-Streak ?!!  Dang ... well, all I can say is I hope Mr. Purple here got out of the Shower - just ! in the nick of time - for This ! Help > Slip > Franklin's Show Opener !?!  Ha !!  Grateful Dead !! at the Philly Spectrum !!! - Fall Tour '93 !!!! ... Enjoy !!!!!
