Grateful Dead Fans !!! ... I mean talk about " Truckin' ! " - Whoa !?! ... 1993 Cal Expo !!! - in Sacto !!  Offered here is the Vintage Original ( Genuine / Authentic ) Grateful Dead Backstage Pass ( sticker-patch / satin ) for the 1993 Summer Tour Cal Expo Show ! in Sacramento, California ( CA ) on May 25th, 1993 ( 5/25/1993 ) !!  And, for the Folks who are in the ' know ' on this Show ?!?  This was " The ! " run ... and So-Thankfully ! now days - you can check out the proof for yourself on the " Grateful Dead Road Trips Volume 2 Number 4 " Pro-release CD Set ! - Cal Expo 1993 !! - and ... especially on the Bonus Disc CD !  Way-Tasty G.D. !!!  So ... let's see here - I warn you in advance that I run the risk of getting a little emotional over this Red-Hot ! " Expo !! " Dead-Run !!!  All I can say is I hope that you were able to catch a Show ( or Shows ) on this Absolutely-Historic ! '93 Cal Expo G.D. stand.  I was so-fortunate to not only warm up at the Shoreline ! run prior - but also catch this Historic & Incredible ! Grateful Dead Cal Expo run.  Two thoughts here - 1st thought : Many critical Fans are less-fond of 90's ( post-Brent ) Dead and obviously there are some good reasons for feeling that way - especially from the " consistency " standpoint - and at times the apparent lack of energy & even the achievement of a grippy musical tone.  And then 2nd thought : During the May 1993 Cal Expo Shows there was a very-special brew stirred up for these California Rex Foundation performances - as follows : A song-by-song Jerry Garcia Guitar-Clinic !!! + When Phil's On The Band's On ! + When Things Get Weir'd !! = what many Deadhead's consider the Band's last Great ! and Triumphant !! stand !!!  I don't personally feel that way ( i.e. : Autzen '93 / '94 - Oakland Feb.'94 ( Chinese New Year " of the Dog " run ) - and I'm sure a few ' Big ' others ).  However, if you were there for this Glorious ! run at Expo - I can see why you feel that way - and I completely understand.  An Absolutely-Perfect ! atmosphere : California Sunshine ! - a Rex Benefit occasion ! the Band clearly feeling the Grate ! Vibes all-throughout - and all in probably the last small ( and most-intimate ) Outdoor Venue the Grateful Dead were still able to play due to Crowd sizes.  Gotta-love Good Ol' Cal Expo ! ... just-gotta.  But here's the scoop - and who will ever know exactly ' Why ' this happened ( except for each of the boys - naturally ... ) : Jerry Garcia was simply ready to go all-throughout this Whole ! run - Big Time !!  He comes out of gates - guns ( Rosebud ) blazing ! & Phil immediately follows suit as lead ( Bass ) guitarist - then Bob Weir at his best ( looking like he'd been anxiously waiting for this ! ).  Garcia's Fret board / Picking Attack & Tone is Aggressive - Vicious & Pristine all-throughout the Power-Moments ! in this run - and the Ballads are Heartfelt - Sweet & played with Excellence !!  And look out Jerry-Freaks ! because here comes the Boss Turbo-Overdrive !! you live-for !  And keep a watchful-eye on that " Phil Zone " too !!  One of the Best ! G.D. runs that I ever saw ... sincerely.  Pretty much right up there on the same level as some of the Scorching-Hot ! nights with Brent in the Late 80's / Early 90's.  Gotta just love this G.D. Pass ' Design ' too - for this Amazing-run ... an 18-Wheeler Road Crew Truck !!! just carrying the Load ! - and Haulin' in the Gear !!  Way-Cool ! ... & Way Grateful-Dead !! - just Gotta ! love it ... Enjoy !!!!!

This-Planet has ever-seen ... & taking it right to the People ! - inside the Cleveland Music Hall in Ohio !!  And, over their 30-Years Live Touring Career - the Band played around 50-Shows in Ohio !  With, Richfield hosting the most Shows ( 13 ) - Buckeye Lake hosting the 2nd most Shows ( 5 ) - and the Cleveland Music Hall coming in 3rd ... with Four ( 4 ) Dead Shows - all between 1970 and 1981 ( 10/17/1970 - 11/20/1978 - 3/2/1981 - 3/3/1981 ) ... with this Pass ! here proudly-representing the 3/3/81 Show !!  Rick Griffin " G.D.
