Grateful Dead Sticker : 1983 : Richmond '83 ! - Pink Rose !! : Vintage Original '83 Mikel / Ethan Sticker !!! : Fall Tour '83 ! : October 8, 1983 ( 10/8/83 : 10/8/1983 ) : Richmond Coliseum - Richmond, Virginia ( VA ) : 1983 Mikel / Ethan : Very-Rare !!!Vintage-Original ! Grateful Dead 1983 Fall Tour Mikel Lot Sticker !!! ... 10/8/1983 at the Richmond Coliseum ! in Richmond, Virginia !! -- A Rare !!! " Pink Rose !! " G.D. Lot Beauty !!!
Grateful Dead Fans !! ... who know a Good Ol' Vintage-Original ! Tour-Dated Sticker - when they see one ! Offered here is the Mikel / Ethan Sticker made Venue-Specific ! for the Grateful Dead 1983 Fall Tour stop - at the Richmond Coliseum in Richmond, Virginia !!! Wow ... and one of the Way-Cool ! " Early " ( 1983 ! ) Mikel-Stickers too -- the G.D. " Rose ! " version from '83 !!! And, in the case of this particular Richmond, VA Show ... a ' Pink ' Rose ! A very-nice color contrast indeed, with a purple border ! too. Mikel created & distributed these Venue-Specific ! Stickers - along with an up-to-date G.D. Newsletter following Dead Shows on Tour from 1983 until 1985. 1983 featured this " Rose " design - 1984 featured " Bertha " ( Skull & Roses ! ) - and 1985 featured a " Steal Your Face ! " design. In many ways, one of the most Genuine ! Commemorative Tour items ... Fan-made & from the Lot ! So-Cool, Collectible, and now - actually 35-Years Old ! Whoa ?!? ... does time ever Fly ! Well, despite what others might say ... as I have indeed heard opinions vary, over the decades -- I personally believe this 10/8/83 Richmond Show to be a flat-out Cooker !!! Now, I'm not going to go as far as saying that this Show is to '83 - as Richmond 11/1/85 is to '85 ( Whoa !!!?!!! - right ?! ) ... but, it is Hot ! And, it's the Fall Tour opener too - on this '83 Fall Tour Back East swing ... coming off of the ( " Legendary " ) 9/24/83 Watsonville ! Show - where Garcia uncorks one of the down & dirtiest Uncle John's Bands ... of All-Time ! In, naturally ... the distortion-heavy era. Wow ... Bring it Jerry ! - as That ! indeed is the ballpark that my ears like to play in ... right-on. But, as for Richmond - they take a good part of Set I to get ' settled-in ' ... with a Hot ! Stranger Opener - Minglewood ! - Cassidy - West L.A. ! ... and, an ' of-note ' Bucket > Deal Closer !!! At this point, you're thinkin' all Blues - Heavy & Hard ! ( minus the F.O.T.D. - Ha ! ) ... but, Set II mixes it up just about as nicely as it can get mixed-up ... and with '83 Fall style Fire ! & Attack !! Day Job > Playin' > Crazy Fingers > Drums / Space ! See ... what I mean ? And then from there ... it's all like a Good Ol' Train ! Rollin'-Down the G.D. Track ! - with naturally, a little Wharf Rat in the middle - in the Jerry sleeper spot ( dang, I hate using that term - but, it does fit here like a glove ! ) - and, especially, when the Rat has Truckin' > Spoonful on one side -- and a Way-Nasty ! Good Lovin' on the other !! And, not quite to '85 " Gloria " standards, I'll admit -- but, Ace sure does get ' Loose as a Moose ! ' on this Good-Lovin' -- Yeah ! ... " Hah !! ". To, you know ... use proper ' Terminology ' of the " 1983 " Time - Place & Era ... Red-Hot ! '83 Grateful Dead time !!! Right-on, I say - and even right in Richmond ! too ... way-way long before the ' Strawberry ' Amp. was even any kind of dream ... Ha ! Pretty-awesome, for certain. This Show deserves a listen, without any-question ... and, as for this Crazy-Awesome ! Vintage Mikel Sticker ? Well, you know ... it completely-speaks for itself. ... Enjoy !!!!!
