Vintage Original ( Genuine / Authentic ) G.D.T.S. ' Mailorder ' Ticket for your Grateful Dead and Rock & Roll Memorabilia Collection !  This is an Original December 28, 1987 ( 12/28/87 ) Grateful Dead Ticket ( Unused & " Collected-Only ! " ) for the Oakland Coliseum - Oakland, California ( CA ) 1987 - 1988 " New Year's Eve " run of Shows !!!  And, widely known for years now to the Dead Fan Faithful ! as the " Ticket To New Years ! " run ( since back the Late-'90's ) - when the '87 - '88 New Years Show ( 12/31/1987 ! ) was actually " Pro-released " on Video in VHS - Lazerdisc - DVD !  And, like many Oakland Grateful Dead New Year's Eve Show runs in the '70's, '80's & '90's ... this was a 4-Show stand in California - with this '87-'88 run actually being the 1st ! New Years run at the " Oakland Coliseum " instead of at the " Henry J. Kaiser Convention Center " ( aka. " Oakland Auditorium " ) - dating back to 1979 - 1980 !  So, pretty special for certain - in that regard.  This was a 4-Show stand leading up to & including the 12/31/87 Show ... and this was the 2nd ! Show of this 4-Show run - 12/28/1987 !  With ... the Very-Cool ! & Quite-Rare !! Grateful Dead " Bertha Skull & Roses ! " Ticket Logo Design.  With this of course being one of the Grateful Dead Tickets Services ( GDTS ) " Mailorder " Tickets ! - instead of the standard Bass - Ticketmaster - Fast Tixx, etc. type tickets - way more common in the '70's, '80's & '90's Grateful Dead Touring-Years.  And ... a Red-Hot ! Stranger > Franklin's ! opened-up this 12/28 Show ! - with a Sweet !! Sugaree > Bucket ! closing this First Set !  With, even a Far From Me in there too ... courtesy of Brent !  Minglewood & Masterpiece from Bobby ! ... and a Fine ! Row Jimmy from Garcia !!  And then ... here it Comes ! - China > Rider > Cumberland !!!  Whoa !?!?!  Just Killer !!  And, if you still have yet to hear this one on Tape ... get on it !  It was planned, timed, spot-on ... & Fiery !!!  Just Beautiful !!  And then ... on the back set of II - out of Drums / Space... Wheel > Truckin' > Smokestack !!!  And even a little Sugar Mag ! ( just for Bill ! ... Ha !! ).  Completely-Killer ! Live-Dead !!  Black Muddy as the ' Encore ' and then Still ! 2-Shows to go ... on this 1987-88 New Years Eve G.D. run !  And yep ... yet ' another ' Legendary ! I'm not sure there is a single Dead Fan - or Music Lover out there ... who doesn't Love their - Red Rocks !!!  As this is the Vintage Original ( Genuine / Authentic ) Grateful Dead Backstage Pass for the 1984 Summer Tour stop at the one & only ! Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado ( CO ) ! on June 13, 1984 ( 6/13/84  ) !!!  And ... as the close-up photos nicely show, this Pass Features a whole bunch of Blossoming ! & Blooming !! ... Red Roses !!!  And Amazing ! - and truly " Quintessential " Mid-1980's Original Grateful Dead Backstage Pass Art design ... by Susie Reed !  As 1984 itself was a pinnacle eyebrows-up ! " Change " year for Grateful Dead Passes ... and their Growing Artistic " Creativity " !!  Quite similar to just how creative the Rock Art Poster scene has become here today in the live music & concert touring scene.  And ... this one is clocking it at close to 35-years old here today ... Wow ?!? - Time-Flies !!  The Band played 3-Shows here at Red Rocks in 1984, featuring a Classic Car - Locomotive Train - and ... Blooming Red Roses ! for this Red-Hot ! Mid-'80's stand of " Live-Dead " - at Red Rocks !!!  As in fact, the Dead only had a few more runs at Red Rocks after this one, before their touring ' scene ' unfortunately got just a little to ' Big ' - to say the least.  They played it in 1985 & 1987 - along with " Telluride " too - and, that was all she wrote on " Colorado Dead " for quite a while.  But ... at least we still have the Music ! for these Legendary Red Rocks Show-runs - because the Band Always ! took them seriously - looking to Deliver ! a little bit of that Extra Good Ol' Grateful Dead " Spice " !  A Smoker ! of a " Bucket !! " to open up this one - C.C. Rider ! - Esau ! - and Cold Rain > Don't Ease ! to close the 1st Set !  And, then it was indeed time for some of that Big-League " 84 Live-Dead ! " >>> China > Rider !!!!! - Let It Grow !! - The Wheel ! - Miracle !! - Sugar Mag !!!  With a Sweet ! " Baby Blue " Encore.  Tasty ... way-tasty Summer Tour '84 Live-Dead !  Dang, I'll say ... give me some Good Ol' Grateful Dead in ' Pure ' Summer '84 Aggressive, Attacking, and Rockin' ! mode ... now That ! is Rock & Roll !! -- and after all this is the Dead at Red Rocks !!! that we are talking about here.  This 6/13/1984 Pass here = Quite ! the Grateful Dead & Rock 'n Roll Treasure !! ... and really, should be framed & hanging proudly in the Home of a G.D. Fan that Loves their Red Roses !!  And maybe too ... in the Home of a Dead Fan who is already well-familiar with some of that ... " Cool Colorado Rain !!! ".  So-Awesome ... Enjoy !!!!!
