Grateful Dead Fans ! - Chinese New Year Show Fans !! - and all of you fellow Tigers !!! out there.  This is the Vintage Original ( Genuine / Authentic ) G.D.T.S. ' Mail Order ' Ticket for the February 8, 1986 ( 2/8/86 ) Chinese New Year Show run - at the Henry J. Kaiser in Oakland, California ( CA ) !!  One of the Coolest ! G.D. Mail Order designed Tickets of the Mid/Late-1980's Era ... with a " Tiger ! " image featured right on the Ticket !!  And, after all ... as this is indeed the Good Ol' '80's ! Grateful Dead we are talking about here on a Chinese New Year run in Oaktown !!  And if you've ever been ... then, you too well know.  As far as live Rock 'n Roll goes - you will be hard pressed to see a more thoughtful - clever - exciting & powerful ! display - than what the Grateful Dead would put on in Oakland ... during Drums ! > Space !!  Undoubtedly some of the Coolest ! ' Live ' concert performances ( Dead, or non-Dead ! ) that I have ever-seen ... as things can get really Intense !  And, check this out too - as maybe you already well-remember this yourself ?!?  This 1986 " Chinese New Year " G.D. run took place at the Kaiser on 2/8/86 & 2/9/86 ... so, this was just roughly 5-Weeks after the 12/30 & 12/31 " New Years Eve " run at the Oakland Coliseum !  And ... for the real ' catch ' - the " Mardi Gras " run took place at the Kaiser on 2/11/86, 2/12/86 & 2/14/86 - with 2/11/86 being the Official " Mardi Gras " Celebration Show - and 2/14 being " Valentine's Day " !  So, my G.D. point here being, if you lived in the Bay Area - or, made the trek to make it happen from places elsewhere - you could see the Band play a " New Years Eve " Show ! - a " Chinese New Year " Show ! - a " Mardi Gras " Show ! - and even a " Valentine's Day " Show ! ... all within close to 6 -Weeks !!! in-Oakland !!!!!  Almost too much to fathom my fellow Dead Fans - you know ?  Wow.  Did this Band ever tire in the Mid-'80's ?!!  Doesn't sound like it anywhere close to here ... I mean just check out This ! Red-Hot !! Ha !  Well, who really needs it - as in June of '87 ... you already knew all the Songs anyways - so you could just sing-them !  Classic ...  Well yes! - here indeed offered is a Very-Rare !! Vintage Original ( Genuine / Authentic ) 1987 Grateful Dead Backstage Pass ( sticker-patch / satin )
for the Summer Tour '87 stop at Alpine Valley !!!  Just a couple of Summers before ' Downhill From Here ' - and we All !!! know just how Hot ! that live-action was.  Bands just seem to get-up ! for Alpine ... seriously, as it seems like almost across the board ?!?  I even saw a Jane's Addiction clip the other day from Alpine - and they were just bringing Sheer-Live-Fire ! to the point that both them & the crowd looked like they were going to simultaneously Explode !!!  Well, as for the Dead - when it comes to " Live-Delivery " ... well, as we already know - these guys pretty much wrote the Book !  I just listened to the G.D. '84 Alpine Shows the other day ... and my Jaw was on the Ground !  Down & Dirty G.D. - with Passion ... and Aggressive-Attack !!!  And ... as for maybe the very-best example, or at least one of them that gets this ' Alpine ' point straight-across ... August 7, 1982 -- also known as 8/7/82 -- also known as, well ... Garcia !!!!! -- and maybe best known as China > Rider !!!  But, of course ... not to sell the Music > Sugaree > Music, Let It Grow, or ... the Playin' > Drums > Space > Playin' > Dew !!! short - by any means !  Wowwww ...  So, you see ?!  This stuff isn't all a coincidence - I mean this is Alpine Valley Magic ! that we are talking about here - a big place -- for even Bigger ! Live-Shows !!!  Give the Good Ol' Grateful Dead a chance - and yep, they'll answer it ... and quite-often - with a Gusto !!!  Wow ... and look at it like this too ...  the Alpine Valley stop on the 1987 Summer Tour ... right after the release of ' In The Dark ' ... which of course meant - Touch of Grey !!!  But, they indeed left it ' off ' the song-rotation on this Smokin'-Night ... opting instead for some real live-Thrillers ! the likes of Bucket > Sugaree !!!  Yeah !  A 1st Set Jack Straw Closer !!  And ... out of the back set --- Space > Miracle > Morning Dew > Throwing Stones > Not Fade Away !  And then ... a Smoker ! of an Encore - in the form of Not Fade Away > Mighty Quinn !!!  Killer ...  A little " Double-Up " on the N.F.A. - kinda just like at Alpine in '84 !!!  And, naturally ... When Quinn The Eskimo Gets There - Everybody's Gonna Want To Doze !!!  See what I'm saying here ?  No-question at All ! why these Skeletons are doing a little Mexican-Hat-Dancin' ! - in " Day Of The Dead ! " style & fashion.  Awesome ...  Enjoy !!!!!
