A Vintage Original Brand New ! ... Unused, Untorn Full ! Grateful Dead Ticket ! for the ' 1st Show ' of 1993 ! -- Night # 1 ( of 3 ) of the Oakland Coliseum Chinese Year !! ... " Year of the Rooster ! " run of Oakland Shows !!!
G.D. Fans !!!  Now ... don't you just wish that it was still ! '93 - it was 1/24/93 - that you were in Oakland ... and you could get this one Ripped ! to see the Band Play !!!  But, you know ... always remember to ask the Usher at the Gate to ... " Tear it Nice & Low " !  Well, no Time-Machine here unfortunately - for transport to '93 - to Oaktown ! ... but, this is indeed a nice & rare little Unused ! & Full !! Ticket to the 1/24/93 Oakland Coliseum Show.  And ... this in fact, was also the ' 1st Show ' of 1993 !  Which, of course brings back some real nice memories ... because the word of choice in the Coliseum & in the lot too was ... Jerry Sounds & Looks Great !!!  The Band " took-off " the Fall Tour in '92 - as you might well remember, and after a Denver / Arizona Winter '92 stand ... they found themselves back in Oaktown !  And ... so did I !  They played 11-Shows ! at the Coliseum between December & February - and got in not only a strong December / Winter stand of 5 ! - but, also delivered both a Chinese New Year ! & Mardi Gras ! stand !!  And ... this Ticket here is from the 1st night of the Chinese New Year - " Year of the Rooster ! " run.  I caught 5 of these 11 Shows - and, was & still am go-glad that I did ... because the Band was playing Fresh ! - and good-things were happening indeed.  Well, in fact ... 12/16/92 was so ' On ! ' that Dick even used it as a " Dick's Picks " Series release !  And, a lot of Fans feel that the 2/23/93 Show was actually one of the Hottest ! Shows from that point on ... with Ornette Coleman showing up to open & play ... & even Jam ! with Garcia !! - on the Wolf !!!  Yep, I was in there to see that ... Thankfully !  But, this Ticket to me represents a Real-Nice ! Time in the G.D. World - because they were indeed ' Back ! '.  And ... this Show really marks the front-end of yet another little G.D. Live Rock & Roll Renaissance ! - that arguably went all the way through the Chinese New Year '94 run - for the " Year of the Dog ! ".  And, to my ears - this even went to Seattle ! & Autzen !! too ... all the way to June '94 !  Those G.D. " Moments of Magic !!! " - you know ? ... you just sometimes had to be on your toes to catch'em - but, they were delivered indeed - and were delivered often.  So ... here you go !  Even with the " Eye Of Horus !!! " on this '93 G.D. Beauty !! ... Enjoy !!!!!
